Robin Hoske | Ultra

Robin Hoske, Bachelor Thesis 2018

In my project Ultra, I examine how the process of ultrasonic composite technology can be used for innovations in the artisanal production of textile outdoor products. By modifying the method in the form of a single, digitally controlled ultrasonic sonotrode, conventionally mechanically joined or glued seams can be replaced by a continuous welding path. In the process of creative research, the development of a sleeping bag design serves as an exemplary, practical application of the researched potentials.

The project was supervised by Prof. Barbara Schmidt and Prof. Carola Zwick betreut.
