Felix Rasehorn | Hybrid Interactions in Neurosurgery
Felix Rasehorn, Master Thesis 2019
Since the possibilities of surgical practice are determined by the visualization of pathologies, a need for new solutions for interacting with 3D data arises in neurosurgery. AR prototypes were used to explore hybrid interactions in the planning process to help surgeons train their professional motor skills. The comprehensible prototypes enable the surgical team to develop a common mental model by testing individual pathologies. This research project is a collaboration with the neurosurgery department of the Charité Berlin and the Cluster of Excellence MOA.
