Installations on music festivals are an example for design, in which the product no longer receives its value through its materiality, but through the experience that it creates. The challenge of designing a dancefloor for electronic dance music festivals lays in the combination of architecture, sound and light aiming at creating space for extraordinary, „spiritual“ experiences. The aim of my project was to design an easy-to-setup architectural structure, that functions both as audio-visual lighting and as shading system in the specific conditions of dancefloors at music festivals.
