Antonia Nandori | Ultrafast

Antonia Nandori, Master Thesis 2021

In the Ultrafast project, a cap was created that serves to diagnose the cause of a stroke on an ambulance car. In a brain insult, with every minute lost until treatment, nerve cells of the brain are damaged. Before treatment, a distinction must be made between a thrombus and an ischemic stroke. If a diagnosis could be made shortly after the ambulance arrives at the patient‘s home, the time needed for treatment could be significantly reduced. In cooperation with the Charité and the company NIRX, the fNirs helmet was developed with the aim of being able to start a therapy already on the way to the hospital in order to achieve a possible better rehabilitation process.
