People with disabilities are often confronted with barriers in everyday life, especially when it comes to mobility. Stairs, a lack of acoustic information and timetables that are difficult to understand make getting around difficult. Common mobility and map apps offer little focus on personalized support to overcome these barriers. The Weg:frei app strengthens self-determined mobility through route planning, barrier detection and context-related information. At the same time, it raises awareness of the many challenges faced by people with disabilities.
