Dominic Eger Domingos | Grasping tools: the example of shears
Dominic Eger Domingos, Bachelor Thesis 2020
50 scissors tell countless stories: what they are made for, what makes them stand out and what you can learn from them. My study of cutting tools has resulted in a collection of scissors from which I have been able to develop a tool kit for new cutting concepts. A solid basis for my prototype, which combines the insights from the collection with the needs found in my research: scissors that allow one-handed interaction by combining gripping and cutting – ideal for professional herb and salad harvesting, because there is still a lack of suitable tools.
