Leandra Balliel | Flux Form – Robotic Biogel Printing

Leandra Balliel, Masterthesis 2025

Bioplastic is a sustainable material but often exhibits more limited properties. Flux Form is exploring the “programming” of biogel through robotic fabrication. A set-up was developed, and the tested process was then applied. An exemplary implementation took the form of a wearable for the arm. By placing points freely, certain regions can be left out during printing to ensure mobility. In the future, the process could be optimized for applications such as healing-supportive and medical orthoses.
