Leon Laskowski | 3D gedruckte Schreibtischleuchte und 3D gedruckte Drehmomentscharniere

Leon Laskowski, Bachelor Thesis 2017

The challenge of my bachelor thesis was designing a 3D printed task light including the development of printed torque hinges and all mechanical components. The aim was reducing the number of components and producing an entire product of this complexity level from one single material, thus pushing recyclability to another level. In contrast to a product usually consisting of up to a hundred different parts and a mixture of up to a dozen materials, this task light is printed in one material and in one piece, with nothing left but the LED and the electronics module to be assembled easily at the end.
