Smartphones have become our constant companions ‘helping’ us through our busy days. But they are also keeping us awake with their constant stream of notifications and messages. More than 60 percent of users take their smartphone to bed and have a hard time turning them off. But not only we live in a world of constant communication also our belongings start to exchange information. My lamp concept helps the user to develop a healthy sleep ritual. With Near Field Communication and Bluetooth it tracks the users calendar, thus indicates the right time to go to sleep. By putting down the phone it switches automatically into flight mode and is being charged by induction.
