Philipp Gangelberger | PEW-Gaming im öffentlichen Raum

PEW is a mixed reality game which is played in public spaces. To participate in this game players need a smart phone, the PEW app and a special hardware, aka: “the laser” which can be snapped onto the phone. Equipped with this tool players can conduct „Laser Battles“ with the goal to hit other players with their lasers and by that collecting game points. The game principle is similar to that of Lasertag, but PEW blends gaming with everyday life, thus can be played at anytime, everywhere and with random strangers, that are tracked and displayed on a map of the players surroundings.
